There are times when you want (or need) to change the email address that BeLooped associates with your account. Usually this is because your old email address is no longer the one that you use all the time.
Note that we don’t use your email for anything other than it being a convenient way to link devices to your account.
Changing your email address is done within BeLooped. If you’ve tapped the button to Change your Sign In Email, we know that you are using BeLooped on the device currently in your hand. So, we just need to verify that you own the new email address. Here’s how that works:
- You enter your new email address
- We send a 6-digit code to that email address, open a dialog in BeLooped and wait for you to enter the code.
- You only have a few tries and a time limit of 30 minutes to get it right. If you do enter the right code, then (a) we know that you “own” that new email address, so (b) we update your registered email address.
